A preview of Christmas in the Heart, the forthcoming festive album from the master that is Bob Dylan, is on YouTube now.
On first listen, there’s something quite fantastic about it. Y’all know how much I love and admire the great-uncle of much of my music collection, even in his dotage. As his cracked voice croaks its way through some of the most beloved Christmas carols and hymns, it sounds like the Grinch who got into the eggnog, or as if you sat on Santa’s knee not expecting him to put his hand up your skirt.
And all proceeds go to charity! You can’t say cooler than that.
