Another meme from Stefani, with similar rules to last time: type the answers to each question into Flickr Search, use an image from the first page and upload them via the Mosiac Maker at fd’s flickr toys.
1. What’s your favorite song? “Thunder Road” by Bruce Springsteen
2. Favorite genre of music? I hate “genres”, I just love music. But I suppose I am most reknowned for listening to ALTERNATIVE COUNTRY, so ALTERNATIVE COUNTRY it is!
3. Favorite musician/band/singer? Probably safest and most honest to say The Hold Steady.
4. What was the last song you listened to/are currently listening to? “Broken Radio” by Jesse Malin
5. What type of music do you dislike? I don’t go out of my way to actively dislike any type of music. I don’t like anything too slick or overproduced, or by generic guitar bands (I searched for “overproduction”, because “generic guitar bands” didn’t bring up any photos!)
6. What instrument do you like to listen to the most? Acoustic guitar.
7. What instrument do you most like to play (or would like to learn)? I can play violin, although I haven’t done so for years.
8. Where do you go or what do you listen to when you’re sad? Bob Dylan’s Blonde on Blonde.
9. What was the last concert or musical event you attended? Jesse Malin in Birmingham last month.
10. What concert or musical event do you wish you could have attended? Or a performer you would have loved to have seen live? Elliott Smith or the Replacements.
11. You and your sweetie, what’s your ‘song’? If you aren’t paired off, what song do you think it might be? We have a few I suppose, because we like a lot of the same music and go to a lot of shows together, but I’m pretty sure the reason that he’s even dating me is because I sent him “Message to the Boys” (the first new Replacements song in fifteen years) when it leaked – just as we were getting to know each other.
12. What song gets stuck in your head the most? (For good or for bad…) It’s always something different in the mornings, although today it was “Thunder Road” which I have already played! So I’ll tell you instead about the summer that Justin Timberlake’s “Rock Your Body” followed me wherever I went, and every time I heard it it would get stuck in my head for hours. There it goes again! Baws.
