Sparrow and the Workshop - Murderopolis

I’m trying to tell myself that I haven’t been as tardy as I feel I have in posting about Murderopolis, the magnificent new album (and Song, by Toad debut) of Glasgow’s Sparrow and the Workshop as the preorders were delivered really early – plus, don’t you hate it when all the Scottish music blogs post the same things at the same time? Anyway, the album is fantastic: dark, mischievous and ominous, but never more disturbing than the video for “The Faster You Spin”, above.

I’ve been wondering out loud for a while now who actually buys those cardboard celebrity masks every newsagent in Glasgow seems to sell. I now wish I’d held onto my ignorance, and innocence.

BUY: Song, By Toad
