“oh hai”, how are you?;

Here’s a little something that somehow got by me: Ryan Adams has been busy and there are now official release dates, both for his book Infinity Blues and… a new album! The former is out in March, unless you preorder via the publisher, while the latter, Cardinology, will be out worldwide from 28th October on Lost Highway.

Stereogum has the tracklist:

Ryan’s press team’s promising it’ll be “concise,” “focused,” and “unadorned,” so I guess it’ll less Jerry Cold Roses stuff and more of the Westerberg worshipping side… Here’s a tracklist:

01 “Fix It”
02 “Magick”
03 “Let Us Down Easy”
04 “Like Yesterday”
05 “Go Easy”
06 “Sink Ships”
07 “Born Into A Light”
08 “Cobwebs”
09 “Crossed Out Name”
10 “Natural Ghost”
11 “Evergreen”
12 “Stop”

The first official single will be “Fix It,” out digitally on 9/23.

Tickets for the Cardinals’ November UK tour – including a date at Edinburgh’s new Picture House venue, at which you can buy me a drink – are still available.

Still, missing, as you can imagine, and so hungover from last night’s function that it took me three attempts putting my glasses on this morning before I figured out I’d fallen asleep in my contact lenses. I’m thinking of heading home via Lush, and a Friday night involving pizza and The Wire before I get back to work tomorrow.
