wish i could grow fresh legs beneath my old soul;
One of the most enjoyable things as we grow accustomed to life in a two-cat household is watching as the pair of them develop their own distinct likes and dislikes. Biggie, for example, is a man of simple pleasures – apart from when it comes to food, in which case only premium brands will do – while Scoot is into ribbons, running taps and tights. This can be tremendously entertaining, for example the time she marched proudly into the living room with freshly-slain fishnets culled from the washing line dangling from her jaws; or a complete pain in the backside, like every morning when I’m getting ready for work.
A couple of weeks back, by the time I finally managed to liberate a pair of brand new heart-print stockings from her claws and pull them over my knees she’d already managed to shred the things. I was gutted – they’d been onsale, but they were so pretty! Luckily comfort was at hand courtesy of Pamela Mann, my favourite designer legwear brand, who saw my wailing on Twitter and offered to send me something from their new collection.

Who could hold anything against that face?!
If you’ve seen me out and about and marvelled at my legwear (don’t laugh, it does happen) the chances are that what I’m wearing is from Pamela Mann. I’ve got a pair on right now actually – these ones, covered in large pink hearts – and only yesterday was wearing my personal favourite music-note printed ones. I always direct people to the site when they ask, after which I am frequently met with cries of “oh, I couldn’t pay that for a pair of tights, I always rip them”, to which I always reply “me too, and yet I’ve had these for months!”
Here’s what I love about Pamela Mann: the designs, obviously, everything from backseam accents to full on union flag and comic book printed legs; but more importantly the fit, the comfort and the fact that both you and your cat will have to try very, very hard in order to rip them.
In fact, I love Pamela Mann so much that I even attempted a full-on fashion blogger style photoshoot for them despite knowing that I would look utterly ridiculous! I would break down my “outfit of the day” for you, but with the exception of the tights and my amazing pocketwatch pendant from Stray Jewellery, Belfast I pretty much got the whole lot in the Oasis sale for a tenner. And the shoes are from Marks and Spencer.

These are by Vivienne Westwood but.
