your hands on my heart: last month’s mix, may 2009;

This has been one of the strangest, discount most surreal months of my life. It’s as if fate, the universe, whatever power there is out there controlling the mechanics of life thought that 26 had been a bit of a boring year for me, and thought it would use this final month to throw as much at me as it could. My health has been dreadful, my professional life beyond interesting and I appear to be getting married to the coolest boy I’ve ever known. Overall, life is good – but I’m about ready to embrace this coming birthday and look forward to the future.

Although I’ve got four episodes of Twin Peaks and another couple of listens to Miles Davis to get to before I get there.

Musically, this has been a pretty quiet month. When the going gets tough I tend to retreat into old favourites, and I’m on a shopping embargo to try to make me a little less difficult to buy for (my wishlist is buzzin’ though, haha!). I’ve been listening to this year’s SxSW torrents, and there are a few gems on there.

Here’s your playlist for May.
